Two things to be taken from this. Missouri was advertising for teachers in Kansas because we also have a shortage of teachers here. So needing teachers to fill classrooms isn't limited to Kansas.

In 2013 (last govt data I could find) Kansas had a higher overall funding level per student than its neighboring states of Colorado, Nebraska,Oklahoma,Arkansas, and Missouri. After the cuts its right at the average for the region.

Government at all levels is taxing too much and delivering too little, need to see the same kind of thing done at all levels of gvt
