This could be one to watch here. On a personal note, I've been astonished by some of the airfare quotes I'm getting at work when I'm booking 2+ weeks in advance. $300 roundtrip to Chicago and nearly $400 to Philly in a world with $60 oil is...odd. These routes are served by multiple carriers from STL, it's not like I'm just flying to KC and I'm at the mercy of SW's pricing.
The longer distance flights aren't the weird ones, they aren't up that much on the routes I fly for work, it's the huge jump in price on flights of 2 hours or less that I've noticed on routes that are serviced by multiple airlines.
