Be great it works out but he hasn't been healthy for a season yet and he was only throwing 1 inning. How the heck do they think he's gonna throw 6 innings every 5th day?

I'm kind of out of touch...But first thing that crossed my mind...Does he have more than one or two pitches? Hard to cycle through the lineup and not have a few pitches in your arsenal.

Start him going 3 innings, and start stretching him out as we go. Not like guys outside of Waino were throwing past that most of last year sadly. Woodruff and Verhagen (sp?) would be come in as long guys behind him I would expect. I would have the same worry about having multiple pitches also. I don't remember much besides FB slider, but he never really needed more than that in a closer role. I just hope he is able to get and stay healthy which is obviously a huge IF for him.

I too hope it works but they say he won't have to go max effort on every pitch as a starter. If he doesn't how good can he be? I know they won't ask him for 6 or 7 to begin with but he sure needs to get there at some point.
