At first I thought 56-48 dang not alot of D. But ..... After time to think about it. Coach Mauk is known as a great offensive coach and a great QB coach, Glendale now with two years under their belt may be hard to contain. Also does anyone know if the young man that is QB for Glendale who is from Ohio moved there to have the Tutelage of Mauk? He ( Mauk ) had a great Reputation in Ohio. I don't care if he did that's his business I'm just curious!

I talked with Coach Mauk before the game. He said that he coached the kid's (Alex Houston) dad when he (the dad) was in HS in Ohio. Houston is a pretty good QB. Just a soph. Glendale only ran the ball 3 times...all QB draws. 5 wide every play. He threw for 580-some yards but also threw around 75 passes. Most of the throws were bubble screens and WR screens and slants. I would say that at least 75% of the yardage was the receivers YAC. Glendale has decent WR's and that offense is tough to defend. 104 points were scored with lots of penalties. Game took 3 1/2 hours to complete. Also keep Coach Mauk in your thoughts as he battles colo-rectal cancer.
There doesn't happen to be any relationship to Maty Mauk, who is a QB, from Ohio, is there?
Ill keep coach Mauk in my prayers, dang cancer! Yes he is Maty's dad . If Joplin can improve the defense they can be a handful for people ! Lets see how they do against more of a running team ! Should be a great atmosphere at Dewey Combs sports complex
