Joplin (28) Willard (14).....Final!!!!!

Willard looks a lot better than the last few years even though they have yet to score.

Willard is typically huge up front . Why they don't just run some type of power football is baffling . Worst coached team for a decade plus

They’ve had a ton of talent, size and speed for as long as I can remember but rarely have capitalized on it.

Joplin got a couple quick scores early but it’s been pretty even in the 2nd.

Willard looks pretty good honestly. I'm hoping Joplin didn't underestimate them.

Willard does in fact have a solid QB but joplin isn't playing like a top ranked class 6 team

Renfro out may have a bigger impact than many thought.
Either Joplin is playing like crap or Branson and Willard are way better than expected. Good news for Joplin is their defense has been stout but they pulled away late to two bottom feeders in the coc . Doesn't look like what I expected thus far .

I think a little of both. Joplin’s QB needs some work. Thank goodness Joplin has fielded a pretty good defense this year. The back-up RB is a nice surprise. They also need to throw more to Hafer, he tall enough to catch those over thrown passes 😂.

No funnel cakes here but plenty of cops. I don't know what was going on as we was leaving but the cops had Junge surrounded.

I have yet to read a local media or social media reports of any incidents/accidents in the area of Junge Stadium last night so I don't know if there was an incident that required the presence of law enforcement, or if it was just standard extra law enforcement presence at an event.

I have spoke to a few friends who are local law enforcement officers and was told the local media this week has been asking questions in regards to the three separate incidents that took place last Friday night at Oklahoma high school football games and the local media were taking those incidents and turning them into a local story on how law enforcement responds at local events to such incidents.

If you missed what happed in Oklahoma last Friday, at three different games in three different cities:
1, Del City at Choctaw, three individuals were shot and one was fatal. This incident gathered national media attention and the video of the incident has gone viral showing the players running off the field, others taking cover and some laying down on the field.
2, Bentonville West at Tulsa Booker T. Washington. 16 year old kid ran from law enforcement at the game after a physical altercation, during the foot chase subject dropped a gun. The suspect is still on the run and sought for questioning.
3, Pryor at Locust Grove. 15 year old student had a weapon at the game. A parent witnessed the teen with the gun, law enforcement at the game were to able identify the subject, secure the weapon and was arrested.

So with those three incidents, apparently football fans in Oklahoma are a little on edge considering last week was the first week of the season. Feel free to Google more information on those three incidents, each has drawn a lot of media coverage.

Additionally, Miami Oklahoma School posted on Facebook yesterday updated rules and regulations to attend games at Red Robertson Field. They are tightening the rules and I found some of the rules interesting especially for students whose parents drop kids off at the game and leave. I encourage everyone to go to the Miami Facebook page and read them just discussion sake.

No witty banter here. This was a well written and very thorough post. Concise, informative but not too much detail, and well structured. What are you doing on MoSports?

Just like everyone else here ... I'm a sports fan and enjoy sports conversation. I'm not here to trash talk, insult high school student-athletes, poke fun of anyone or stir the pot. I try to watch as many games as I can and follow teams and scores from multiple leagues and divisions across Missouri. I do have a background in sports media (13 years professionally, eight of which were at The Joplin Globe) and enjoyed my time as a member of the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportcasters Association selecting all-state teams in multiple sports and voting on the weekly state rankings.

Stepped away from sports media in 2004 and transitioned into the sports travel and tourism industry and worked there from 2004 through 2021. Have been on the hidden side of sports operations doing the research on sports events, identifying which events communities can host, soliciting to event rights holders for the opportunity to bid their events, building, submitting and presenting competitive bids for sports events and ultimately hosting events and seeing each event through its completion and success. Was a longtime member of Show-Me Missouri Sports, our statewide group sports commission directors whose job is to bring sports events to our communities and generate positive economic impact. Show-Me Missouri Sports works together as a state to bring large international, national, regional and state level championship events to our communities. I'm proud to say I have many friends and professional contacts in most the communities in Missouri with the talented people at the local convention and visitors bureaus and sports commissions. They are wonderful people who do a great job to fill lots of hotel rooms and generate visitor spending through sports events and they do a great job for our state.

Now I spend my free time working on sports research and sports history. Have about six current projects underway including tracking down every score, opponent, date and location of every Carl Junction High School football game, same for the baseball program and eventually will do boys basketball too. Also working on collecting all time baseball scores for my alma mater, Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville. Have already compiled every score all-time for the football team, will do boys basketball after the baseball project is complete.

A side note, Bosko I really truly don't know who you are, so please forgive me for not being a part of the Doc Guys and the ongoing inside circle storyline carried on here at the message boards. I'm too old to follow along and keep up. That said, I chose to use my real name on here because again, there are a lot of people who know me and its too easy in this day and age to figure out who's who. However, if I wanted to play along with your storyline, I would use Reggie Dunlop as my username. And if you are really truly the Booster Bosko from Johnstown in Western Pennsylvania, you would already know that my "documentary" was shot in Johnstown before your "documentary." And if I must say so for myself, my "documentary" was more beloved, better received, had better ratings and has aged better than your 'documentary." Therefore, my documentary "Slap Shot" is better than your documentary "All The Right Moves" but they are both sports movies that we can all enjoy, discuss and share. And to be honest ... I still laugh my backside off when watching Slap Shot.

I bet it was precautionary then, I'm not seeing anything either. If you watch the JetHD stream you will hear sirens in the 4th quarter but these are from an ambulance driving in the stadium to pick up a Joplin player with a severe leg injury.

Excuse me? Storyline? Johnstown? MOVIE!? Slap Shot was documented in Charlestown in the New England area. Which encompasses Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. NOT Pennsylvania!! And last time I checked, MY DOCUMENTARY was in AMPIPE!! Do you even think before you post!? NICE TRY BOZO!!!
