I have given this same answer multiple times.
He got word of this virus in January. The Obama people had a playbook on how to handle it. He didn’t take it seriously. He should have started project PPE in January. The WHO had tests available early, but we turned them down and had to do our own tests, which turned out to be flawed. Thousands died because of his delay and the faulty tests.
He stopped Chinese nationals from flying into the country, but not thousands of other people flying from China to the U.S. Spreading the virus. Additionally, he didn’t ban flights from Europe early and the New York strand of covid came from there.
A Manhattan style project for PPE should have us swimming in the stuff from here to eternity. We still are not.
He needed to take the virus seriously and he didn’t.
he still isn’t. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth. He gave people permission to not wear masks and do as they please without regard for people. HE turned it into a political issue. No one else did. Just him.
My niece works at a hospital and wore a mask into a gas station in Cape last week and got harassed by a man for several minutes. I’m going to end up in a fist fight before this is over, and why? Because Trump couldn’t come out and be sincere months ago and ask his followers to come together and wear masks when in public. He failed to lead.
He should stop playing golf until this country is flooded with tests that can give you a result within an hour.
The CDC had guidelines for reopening schools. They have been dumbed down because of pressure from the Trump admin. He has completely mishandled every aspect of this crisis with the possible exception of ventilators which required kicking and screaming to get him to react.
First off you don't get it....Trump could of touted Mask.....begged them to be worn by everyone....And People would of ignored it just the same and Hated Him for doing it. You don't understand the Human psyche in America. Sure the Leftist propaganda machine has done a good job in indoctrinating a huge portion of the Population into giving up Freedom and individual rights for the SO CALLED greater good. But a huge Vein of individualism still runs deep in America.

We love our Freedom,we Love our Liberty and if the Old and infirm are dying in Big Cities for the most part well a Huge Portion of the Population isn't going to sweat it.
As far as schools go....Rural schools want to go back to work....Cities schools don't for the Most part. Again the Divide. Ton's of parents Want Schools to open back up. Because guess what the Wal-Mart worker is working, the Hospital worker is working, and Teachers should be back in the glass room working and teaching.
And don't blame NY and the other Hot spots on Trump they all have local and state leadership. Who did their own thing. It's not Trumps fault they are inept in governing their own states and cities. They would of never listened to his Advice anyhow. To say otherwise is a complete twisting of the facts.
Get off the Test BS....all more test do is cause issues. Most people don't show symptoms and have no reason to be Quarantined because nobody has any Idea how long a person can shed the virus. Some studies show longer than 2 weeks.So a person Test and is positive and goes about their life for the Most part they do not have to Quarantine at all. Sure the CDC reports the data of Positives but do you think anyone is going and checking on the Positives? Nope! They can go right back to work and continue on with their lives. And MOST DO.

I agree Trump should of enacted a full Travel ban from China except for U.S. citizens returning ....He dropped the ball on that. Not sure why. But he makes a lot of mistakes as other presidents have as well.
This is a opinion...but I think Trump takes the C19 seriously but he understood that a 1% Mortality rate was acceptable when the demographic that was going to die was the elderly and those with infirm conditions.
