You're trying too hard.
Even you realize the parties have basically done a 180 since the 'old days'.
But the question remains: What old days are we talking about here?
When you simply talk America & people first issues instead of ignorant rock throwing this "who is the best" issue simplifies. The biggest atrocity issue is abortion. When I've studied the history of the Nazis I used to wonder how they could buy into such evil. I wondered that about the murdering drug lord people too until I watched how people view abortion. When you can support the murder of millions of people and never be bothered by it you begin to grow cold to all morality and then become blind to what is right. To quote Isaiah, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil." The inability to see what is true and moral sets in and vision is distorted at best and usually completely gone. That's why when issues are discussed with blind people the typical replies are not discussion about the issues but, like this post started, sarcastically quoted idiocies from the leaders of the blind. This life is really short and when we pass, politics will be the least of things on people's minds and how we handled morality will be the first.
Please stay in the current time frame.....Going back and using slavery and the right to vote for women is not really relevant...using examples from a 100 years ago is sort of laughable. Whitlock has more credibility than anyone in the MSM.
