at lower rate than anytime in the last 52 years. Unemployment is 4.2 percent, a number I recall many of you 'conservatives' calling full employment, and wages are up. I don't see why the all the clamor about the bad economy. Gas prices not so long ago were a lot high than they are now and food prices go up and down just like gas prices, yet even us old retired folks on a fixed income made it through some how.

I see the claims about the jobless rate but with my own eyes I see higher gas, higher groceries, and a lot of manufacturing with their third price increase in less than a year.

Yea we are paying $1500 a ton for steel and have to keep raising prices. Has to stop at some point but don't know when

I’m not sure what is funny about this statement Steer?
I mean steel manufacturers are only keeping price quotes for 24 hours which is down from 30 days.

And the cola raise this year was over 6%. I never had a raise that big when I was working on the RR, now I get it when I'm retired. We get the same as raise as SS retirees.
