Wondered if you have heard how practice was going? I haven't had a chance to go out and watch. I'm sure things are going well. Coach Miller sees to that.
I have only made it out to three practices so far. They look pretty good for this early in the season. Coach M really has a way of letting the team know that they are going to be good, but they will have to work for it. I have never seen a coach get more out of his players.
That is great to hear. I have got to get out there and check them out.
I know what you mean about Miller getting the best out of his players.
More people should realize that.
I think they are putting in Field Turf. At least that is what I heard. I hope they keep it like it is. I know Coach Miller has the girls look over every inch of it to get a feel for where the holes and bad places are. That is quite a home-field advantage that will be gone when they go to the field turf.
That would be a smart move the the Joplin Adm. Keep Coach Miller happy and that will keep him around Joplin for awhile. Offers will keep coming to him you know.
Keeping Coach M happy is high on the Joplin Admin's priority list, or at least I hope it is. I would hate to lose him to an area college, or even worse, lose him to a MLS or European team as a player. I know he is aging a bit, but I bet he could still hang. I heard he once saved 18 shots in a professional game with a broken arm. He flat-out refused to come out of the game! That type of bull-dog mentality is what makes him a great coach.
I pray you guys aren't talking about the same Joplin field I played on, or the same coach...The field was completely resurfaced last year and was a lush bermuda carpet with green rye grass for the November District games...get a life, wow...You don't have to hype up your own team, you'll learn that eventually.BTW, if you only knew what I know about those MSSU rumors... Hey Pal,
I saw a game last Spring on the "Joplin" field and it WAS NOT a lush green surface. It was tore up and recently "dug on". Get your facts straight before you post. As for the coach, he is a good coach. I just do not think that they will beat: Kickapoo, Glendale, Catholic, Rolla, and Ozark.
