Funny how Coach Smith retired and the next week Kill steps down from Rutgers.

Im not a Coach, but I have a Story.
August 1978, 2 a day Practice, my Brother and I called Coach Duda, (Chicago born and Raised Coach Jack Duda) and explained we had about 500 Bails of hay on the Ground and we had to get them in the Barn before it rained that evening, so we would be late for Practice at 5pm.
Coach Duda wasn't pleased, but being new at GC that year, he excepted the excuse that one time. When Friday rolled around, our 3rd man on the Hay Crew was going to be off, so we explained to Coach If we didn't find a replacement for the day, we probably wouldn't be at Practice Friday evening. Coach Duda volunteered to Help that day, after our Morning Practice.
We started at around 11am, Coach Duda quit about 2pm, and we NEVER heard a complaint again from him if we had Hay to Haul during 2 a day Practices. lol
