Eierman Finishes Runner-up at UWW Junior Freestyle World Team Trials
Eierman collected three technical falls wins en route to Championship match

IRVING, Tex. – Mizzou Wrestling freshman Jaydin Eierman (Columbia, Mo.) placed second at the UWW Junior Freestyle World Team Trials on Saturday in Irving, Tex. Eierman posted three technical falls by a combined score of 31-1 before falling in the championship bout to Matthew Kolodzik (Princeton Amateur Wrestling).

The four-time Missouri High School State Champion collected back-to-back 10-0 technical falls in the first and second rounds to start the tournament, first defeating Steven Rando (Bayou Elite), then Vincent Turk (Hawkeye Wrestling Club). In the semifinals, Eierman bested Austin O'Connor (St. Rita) by 11-1 technical fall to advance to the finals. Eierman and Kolodzik put on a show in the championship match, posting 33 combined points in a 22-11 win for Kolodzik.

As an unattached wrestler this season, Eierman went 22-2 in open tournaments, winning three and placing third in two. In his 22 wins, Eierman posted eight wins by fall, six by technical fall, and six by major decision.

Absolutely - his redshirt year had some real quality wins. He should be a National Tournament qualifier and contend for AA.
 
That sounds great... Who do you see at 141 for the Tigers ?
Manley - assume he will be 100% recovered from leg injury - He was top 5 in the country before the injury & a favorite to place high in New York - besides that he is a real physical wrestler who is very hard to score on.
