How will some of those south KC teams Be?
Ray Pec, Harrisonville, Burg, Clinton etc…

Sometimes our SWMO teams see those schools in Districts.

Stover has Warsaw, Laquey, Montrose
Wheatland hosts Humansville, Osceola, Climax Springs
Rich Hill, Golden City, Sacred Heart and one more I think.

Harrisonville will be better than last year but that isn't saying much. they were down a lot last year. Part of their improvement will come in the form of more wins mainly due to scheduling down a little bit (playing several class 3 and smaller schools).

Ray-Pec has a solid JR class. The coaches son will run the point for that team. He is an undersized kid, but really defends and has a high IQ. He has some kids around him and they will all compete at a high level. Of course they will play big boy basketball and they are coming off a year of being a few games under .500. I think they have enough to finish at or slightly above .500 this year, but as you know they won't have a night they can take off.

Mt. Vernon Jamboree
1st: Carthage (2-1) , +34
2nd: Carl Junction (2-1) , +13
3rd: Seneca (1-1-1)
4th: Mount Vernon (0-2-1)
Thanks, must be a down year for Mt. Vernon since I'm guessing Carthage and Seneca were both playing with out multiple players due to football.

Yes, I think Mt Vernon is down a bit. But Carthage only has 1 significant guy playing football. Seneca returns 100% of their scoring from last year and they have plenty not playing football as well.

Joplin Jamboree:
Joplin 2-0
East Newton 0-1-1
Nevada 0-1-1
Lamar (had the Jv so teams didn’t play starters in those games from what I could tell)

Joplin was on another level athletically, which they will need to be in the COC.
Renner kid from East Newton has developed nicely and they have a couple shooters. Nevada played a lot of kids in and out and had a tall kid sitting out. (Maybe the TE from football?) Lamar had a couple frosh that did nice things against older competition and when they get the FB guys back I think will have a lot of depth.
