Jackson brought a huge crowd

....and they were loud.

I was a bit surprised more Carthage fans were not in attendance since this was their first appearance. This WC guy was there cheering the Tigers and high fiving the fans in blue. Congrats to our Jasper County neighbors!!

They’ve gone to state 4 times according to one of their fans. Is that correct? If so, they have a lot of practice. Not sounding like “that person”, but it has been interesting watching the different teams prepare and towns prepare. Webb City has it down to a Science on how to keep them focused and how to build up the hype and the fans know how and when to do what.

Carthage is a different town. I’m born and raised there, so I can say it. They’ve come a long way—but they still need to support their teams more and show more pride. They definitely aren’t used to State or something of this magnitude. This will spark a flame. They have a new AD and great high school staff. I think that town will start mirroring more of what has worked for WC like they did this week—keeping it business as usual for the team. The fans will follow. They were outnumbered for sure—but bet they won’t be next time.

Webb has alot of visitor seating compared to most teams but if they always travel like that ...I agree
You're definitely right

It would have been really cool if Joplin had pulled it off, too.
Still a huge accomplishment.
Congrats, JasperCo
Just for fun, remove the private’s from the discussion. Rank your top public schools in the state for 2019. I’ll admit my bias but
1. Joplin
2. WC
3. Carthage
4. Fort Zumwalt North
5. Jackson

Hope to see a Jackson @ Webb City semifinal someday! Would be a packed house
As a Jackson fan I was glad to see what the Indians could do against a SWMO team. Over here in SEMO we always hear about the level of competition you guys have. Hopefully there can be more play between SE and SW. I'd love to see Jackson match up with Webb.

The 2 biggest plays of overtime were blown calls by the officals. On the Carthage pass that put the ball on the one the slot comes out and picks the Jackson safety while the ball is in the air, has to be off. Pass interference. On the play Jackson was called for holding go back and look at each block and nothing close to holding, the middle off. Doesnt throw the flag untill he sees the Jackson QB crosses the goal line. Ive looked at these 2 plays all day and cant believe the call and the no call! Tell me how to load the video and i will.

That first play you are talking about is in the video I posted at the top of the thread...he hits the safety right about the time the fullback catches the ball ...it's close

Not even close, your watching with your heart and not your mind. Its offensive pass interference every time. Go back and look at the ghost call for holding. Tell me you see a hold on that

You need to see if from the other side of the field. Not as close from that angle. How do you upload videos on here?
ive got the other angle and dont know how to load it. It is a much better view

I'm not "watching with my heart" . I'm not a Carthage fan , nor was I at the game . I watched it on mshaa.tv

Looked like simultaneous to me. Besides, no pass interference when the ball is caught at or behind the LOS.

You better go ahead and load the 96 yard TD run too so we can see the “hold” on Carthage... Get over it. The story was a hard fought game between two teams, not the officials.
