The high school basketball season in Missouri is about four month long if we include practice days before the regular season begins. It's very difficult to be @ the top of your game every night for that length of time for any team. It is not uncommon to have let downs @ some point during the season for any team. I see some of Missouri's strongest team experiencing let downs in the form of upsets loses. The trick here is to play through these let downs or difficulties and be on a high during districts, and beyond.
Hazelwood Central 17-3 has lost 2 games recently that the Hawks should have won ( SLUH and Miller Career ) I see plenty of time for the Hawks to be in top form when district start or these loses could affect their chances to win their district.
Parkway West 13-4 has lost 2 of their last 3 games ( Rockwood Lafayette and Parkway South ) Parkway West has a date @ Webster next Monday evening, the slide most likely will continue.
Westminister 14-2 is on a big roll by not losing since Dec. 4, 2015. I believe Westminister will be on a 20 plus game winning streak when they square off against Parkway West in their class 4 district finals.
Jennings 16-2 has won their last 8 games-Jennings will play Sikeston 5-6 days before their class 4 districts.
Class 4 Sikeston is undefeated @ 16-0
Webster has not lost since Hazelwood Central @ the Meramec Christmas tournament.
I don't see a upset lose being a major problem only a situation that can be corrected however let's hope these little let downs does not happen during districts.
Can we name other teams in Missouri who have experienced let downs or difficulties during the 2016 season?
