Its nice to cheer a big comeback and score a lot of runs again. But good Lord, we had to fight and scratch to gain a split at home against the freakin Chicago Cubs. If we are a first place team, what does that say about the state of baseball? I can live with whatever happens from here as long as Masterson gets no more starts.

I sure wish we had traded that Holliday fella before the deadline, he just can't drive in runs or get a big hit.

I wish he had done some of this in June and July. But I am happy he is showing some power finally. We got completely outhomered by the Cubbies. We have gone 4-6 in the last ten and made up two games in the standings. What a division.

Nice to have someone knock off the Brewers while the Birds struggled so they couldn't stretch their division lead. Maybe you forgot the Cardinals had won 8 out of 10 right before the recent swoon, but during that same time Milwaukee was rolling along too. They even swept the Dodgers, including beating Cy Young Jr.

This thing is going to the last week of the season.

Looks like it, only 6 games outside the division the rest of the way. the next week could be huge either way with the Pirates and Brews games lined up. The Cubs could make us or break us in the next to last series of the season.

2) Kris Bryant wont be a factor for the next series
