Webb City- Plays in all class 5 conference with 1 exception
Lamar- Plays in all class 3 conference
Valle not sure someone fill me in.
Marryville- Played 5 or so class 4 teams

Valle's formula is pulling kids in a town 2-4 Times the size of most class 1 schools town size.

so not recruiting, just has the advantage of a larger pool of players? I do not live in the Ste Gen area nor do I know the program, the general assumption up here is that they recruit but that is not backed by facts.

Check out the names on the jerseys of the Valle players. They are all Ste. Gen names with many of them being the sons/grandsons of former players. Many of those same names you will see on the back of the jerseys at Ste. Gen High as well. The recruiting for athletes conspiracy theory doesn't fly. Why can't Valle just be credited with having a great program with good coaches and players that work hard? Does Lamar, Blair Oaks, Penney, Maryville and Webb recruit?

Hadn't worked for Lamar until about 8-9 seasons ago. They were bottom of the barrel for most seasons prior to the 2008-2009 school year. But it surely doesn't hurt them.

Go back and read what i wrote ill wait... Not once did I say recruiting i said they get to get kids from a town with a higher population.. Find 11 good kids out of 55-60 or 11 out of 200-300 which Team would be better ?

The 1A schools I'm familiar with field 11 players out of the 30-40 on the roster, and there is nowhere else to "find" players. It's only recruiting if you go outside of your city limits then???

It may backfire on you though . That is one thing that has helped Lamar improve is playing up every game . They have become better coached and more physical and more kids turning out to keep up in conference, then when they reach class 2 districts - well -----!! Look out next year because Nevada (C4?)comes back into conference with Lamar . Lamar might have to step up their game again playing another class 4 team in conference!

Do successful teams actively recruit? NO

Do they passively recruit? YES

Young Parents make decisions before a kid is even born where they want to live. Good schools is part of that. And a eager dad takes sports into consideration.

Or if a parent sees (or thinks) his kid is special (NFL material) may move from a small rural town or Neighboring city school district to bigger better football school to get more exposure.

Sometimes its more about academics even if your kid is athletic.

Valle, Lamar, Maryville, and Webb all have HCs who are past alumni, I think that has to count for something! Lamar played Mac county this year Class 4 and Nevada hasn’t shown me anything that would make think Lamar wouldn’t handle them like they do everyone else!

Pretty sure the Nevada game won't be replacing the CJ game for Lamar.

Was listening to Valle radio broadcast of semi final game vs Lockwood, their 6’3” 220# Center just happened to move to the school as a senior, total coincidence I’m sure!!!

Yes... all true.
Seems like the differences would be OBVIOUS between ^^^^this^^^^ and when coaches go LOOKING for these players... or, even ADVERTISING for them.
Big difference between little kids moving in and becoming a part of a community and big kids being brought in who are teens, trimming beards, and choreographing their own hype videos!
Common sense where art thou?!

You are saying that because a program has a positive trend and parents want their kids to succeed and move them there it is recruiting. How does one put that in the same sentence with private schools hand picking athletes out of a town (even if it is in SE missouri). How many families are moving into a new house to be put into a private school in KC or ST. Louis. Probably around 5% or less. You actually have to make an effort to move to a public school that succeeds. How many KS vs MO scrimmages have been played at Joplin, or Carl, or Webb, Nevada, Harrisonville......?
