Is the Ozark Conference itself disintegrating?

If I'm reading all the headlines right, West Plains and Boliver are leaving the Ozarks Conference and Kickapoo & Glendale have invites to leave as well. That leaves what 8 teams left? Is there any chance the whole Ozarks Conference blows up within the next couple of months?

The Ozark Conference is dead. Only 5 teams left. Lebanon, Camdenton, Rolla, Waynesville, Springfield Central.

COC- Glendale, Kickapoo
OMC- Hillcrest, Parkview, West Plains, Bolivar

I suspect Lebanon, Camdenton etc will go north or become independent. It's possible they come into the COC to form a 14 team league, but I do not know how receptive the other schools would be to that.

I have no idea what will be done with Springfield Central.

The Ozark Conference will be looking like the 1988 to 1999 Mid-Missouri Conference with Camdenton taking the place of Smith-Cotton.

The CMAC has been asking Camdenton to join since its inception. I'm sure they would find a home there. The CMAC would prolly take Lebanon and Rolla as well...

I am not familiar with the CMAC label I guess, what schools are in it?

It def seems we are in the final days of the OC

those are the schools I first thought of when I saw what was happening to the OC.. wonder of some kind of merger could happen?

So imagine this lineup for the CMAC...
Battle
Camdenton
Capital City
Helias
Hickman
Jefferson City
Lebanon
Rock Bridge
Rolla
Smith-Cotton

THAT is a pretty salty conference in all sports...

Waynesville?

They would be an interesting addition too. The question might boil down to who fits better? Them or Lebanon...
Although there are rumors that Smith-Cotton wants out...so it could be a subtract 1 and add 4 to make it a 10 team league.

Looks like they already are...
So far Parkview and Hillcrest have petitioned to join the OMC, and Kickapoo and Glendale have been invited to join the COC (SPS has not yet approved any of it…)

…that being said, I’m starting to think that mounting public pressure might force SPS’s hand here 🤷🏻‍♂️

If the OMC votes on Tuesday to accept Parkview and Hillcrest they will be in. This is the last step.

So IF Parkview and Hillcrest go to the OMC, will Glendale and Kickapoo try and stay in the Ozark or leave for the COC?
