Savannah is a top 10 C3 IMO, but Maryville still head and shoulders better. Kind of the way its been in C3 since Maryville moved up. offense is too predictable and Maryville is too well coached.

Maryville by 28. Next week, however, will be war.

Spoofhounds by 35.

Odessa at Maryville will be amazing (99.6 percent chance it happens, BTW). The real question I have is this: are these two C3 programs better than the top C4 programs in this region this year? Yours truly is leaning toward the answer being YES.

KCHI,

Did Eli Dowis play? He got banged up a few weeks ago. He is the one player they need for deep playoff run. imo

Might not be a high scoring game. Weather may be a factor with windchills in single digits Friday night.

He did not play vs Chillicothe, but rumor says he might play this week.. at QB. just a rumor I heard.

I find it more interesting that no one is talking about Pembroke Hill. I will always pick Odessa, but after comparing schedules, Pembroke Hill might have the upper edge on Odessa

Odessa by at least 14. Yes it’s more of a game than people think. But Odessa is a little too good.

Very doubtful. Pembroke's only real quality win was over SCA but they are in C2. The Raiders schedule is not even close to Odessa's.

Piggybacking on this I would love to see KC's small-medium privates get together and form a conference as follows:

Hogan Prep
Pembroke Hill
St. Michael
Summit Christian Academy
St. Pius X (not sure they'd leave the MEC, though)
University Academy

I would even lean toward possibly expanding with these publics:

Center
Lincoln Prep (although the IL is already down to five)
Van Horn

Just a little food for later thought...........

Why would you love that?

I thought University Academy was public school

As opposed to some of the current schedules it cuts down on travel time/expense plus it could create some nice new KC rivalries. I am one of those who is not a fan of independents. Just my little .02 worth.

Pembrook made the decision to dumb down their schedule a few years ago. Works out fine most years when they are 1 and done in playoffs, but this year when they have a few pretty good players they are totally unprepared for what they will face against Odessa. They played KC IL schools plus Bishop Ward? Why bother.

Couldn't agree more except for why bother. Always gotta suit up and play the game no matter what............I hope to take a drive up to Maryville one week from tomorrow for what could be the best quarterfinal in this region if not the west half of MO.

the "why bother" was referring to the schedule. Why put in all the work in the summer and preseason then play a schedule where you are pretty much assured of going undefeated. The fun of football is being in a dog fight of Friday night.

I'd pick Smithville and their run D over Maryville by 7 to 10 points.
