Saw they won 73-0 tonight and most of their scores have been very lopsided . Can they beat West Plains?

West Plains doesn't seem to be as good as they were earlier this year. Boliver hasn't played anyone so hard to tell.

When you schedule SE KS teams for an off week you're not looking to get better. Even Pitt is way down this year over there.

Their schedule is literally anyone who they could find . They got a bad rep then got blacklisted . I'm not trying to defend them ...I personally can't stand them just curious if they are a good football team or not ? Based upon scores ...I say they beat wp and play Webb in the district final

If I had to pick I would go with West Plains but I would say Bolivar looks pretty legit and has to be flying under the radar a little.

I am surprised the Neosho gave West Plains as much difficultly as the did but for that matter Webb City didn’t light it up early against Mac Cty either.

Well for sure they are too

Legit??? Legitimately What? The ARE undefeated and haven't been pushed. Do they have to win the district or state title to be legit? If they beat West Plains are they legit?

I actually think beating West Plains would make them legit even if they lose to Webb the next week.

West Plains playing with 2 key players out.. penalties keep them out of the end zone twice.. Second half they played better and penalty free.. Got to play better from here on out..

Are those 2 players coming back?

Is one of them Lair? The sophomore 2-way player that broke his arm last year as a freshman and got a cast and still played varsity D all year. I didn’t see him in the highlights these last couple weeks is why I ask

Yes, with a broken foot.. Marchak is out for 30 days..

It was a good win. Hannibal was horrible the first quarter of the season and at that time they were trying to find their identity. Hannibal finally coming together the past 5 weeks.

There will be an investigation if the whole damn team has changed their identity. This is bigger than the Ritter story!

Same conversation different year! Bolivar if they beat West Plains will go to WC and.........insert any type of loss that has happened in years past at WC.

Regardless, I may have to reassess my prediction. Lair is a 2-way starter as a sophomore and he’s a load at 6’1 220 and and one of their primary ball carriers and and Marcak is a 3-year 2-way starter I believe so that’s definitely a blow.

I still don’t see this as being any less than a 14 point win for the Zizzers. I will clarify, that I haven’t seen Bolivar play this year, just highlights here and there.

I was listening to the broadcast a bit the other night though and heard their announcers saying that the OC should let them in because they would fit in well with that level of competition(said while they were beating down the 8th place team in the OC).

My immediate thoughts were that IF Bolivar would have been in the OC this year, they would have lose to WP, Camdenton, Lebanon and probably Waynesville. Which would have put them at 5th, very middle of the pack in what has been a conference that has been weakening the last few years.

That strikes me as a fair assessment but I would like to see them in the OC if possible. This current status harms the program, frustrates the parents and eliminates conference rivalries which are fun from a spectator perspective. Maybe once the current leadership retires things can move in the right direction.

Is it still the AD that is in the way? I have heard stories on his arrogance when meeting with other conferences.

SPS AD announced today, I believe, that Central will leave the OC next year and Bolivar will join in football only.

I Hate to say I told you you, but ... Central leaving the OC was the most easily predictable thing of all time.

I’ve been botching about that ever since it was originally announced. I honest to God don’t even know anyone at Central, but this was the right thing to do. Kudos to Mr Scott and others who did the right thing. It’s hard to swallow your pride and change course, but they deserve credit.

Time to move on.
