MSHAA terminated their contract with FSMW for the state championship? Last few years ive paid 10$ for a sub par stream with sub par announcers watching on my 6 inch smart phone screen ?

Last Friday and sat I watched every single semifinal Iowa playoff game on CBS sports Chicago ...channel 9600 something of dish. They played in a dome at northern iowa and it was well produced and that was just the semis! Missouri really screwed the pooch . I used to make a weekend out of making some chilli and watching the state championships for 8 hours a day two days straight.. Unless Webb went , then id travel but id still DVR every game and watch them when I got home
Those were great weekends at my house. Wife ceded me sole control of the basement and she and other wives held forth upstairs. Different chili recipes with various degrees of heat, big kettle of homemade vegetable soup, big spread of sandwich meats, lots of deer sausage and cheeses, desserts provided by all the wives, and hot and cold drinks of choice. A pitch game or two going on in the background, depending upon the competitiveness of the game, and people coming and going at their leisure. Ahhh... good memories!
I watched the same Iowa games last weekend and you are right, very professionally done.
Folks in Harrisonville were complaining on "the Facebook" about crappy streaming of the soccer final 4 broadcast last week. So not much has changed with the service.
Sounds like an incredible weekend of high school football! Whats best about chili weekends like that, is the entertainment that follows a few hours after eating the chili!!
Heck I miss the same location games, much less the broadcast. I made that hour drive two days in a row for almost 12 years to watch the games.
What the hell is pitch? Sounds like a game Trinity and Lutheran North play in the off-season!
MSHSAA couldn't afford to keep the contract with FSMW because they decided to use those funds for stellar State Championship Programs and their thorough investigative/rule enforcement committee. Imagine, if you will, a world were all the money generated went to education and improving our schools...
Yep. Still butt hurt. I made a weekend of it at the in laws nearly every year. Chili was a big part of the festivities.
There is a lot of expense that goes into producing television of championship Friday and Saturday...but it's for the kids and their families and friends and all the great supporters of high school athletics in Missourah. So it's worth it, right?

The Pella Dutch, Iowa's best middle/upper middle enrollment school, plays for the title again this Saturday. Some university in MO needs to build a dome like that.

Agree in the largest class. It is unfortunate the ISHSAA doesn't allow Iowa schools to schedule/play out of state. Dowling vs. Rock would be a natural matchup.............and I'd love to see Pella come down here and play any number of good C4-5 teams.

10-10 late in fourth and team sends in their girl placekicker for a potential game winning 27 yarder and she misses it. Seriously? On this entire state finalist quality team not one boy is a better kicker than her? I know this sounds sexist but we do have girls only sports like volleyball, so why shouldn't football be boys only?

Dowling and Rock have played - late ‘80’s or early 90’s. Rock traveled. You are correct they are a very good program and have been for years.
