Gist of the story they've got going is that Jake Martin, former DC at Valle Catholic. Joined Monroe City as some sort of consultant last week and was on their sidelines for the game out of spite against the program that asked him not to return. Almost hard to believe. If true, Dirtiest player in the game or savvy move for JM/MC?

The tears on that site are delicious concerning the interception. Would love to see the comments after the 2010 championship game and post them in that thread. It goes both ways.

As far as the former coach goes, retain him and this is no issue. He was let go, and is free to do what he wants within the rules. The butthurt is strong on that forum.

So the MC staff brought this person in just for championship week?

Yes he was just there for that week. Not a class act on MC in my opinion. I’m sure he contacted them. He was with the Valle program for 10 yrs and let go for various reasons. He lives in Ste. Gen. Not a popular guy around town. They take their football pretty serious there.

Thats pretty sad.

With all the video available these days. Does it make a difference?
Only if you plan on doing something that they haven't seen or that you don't have film of them facing it. If he knows how they are likely to adjust to something it could be useful.

Wonder if that dude posts on Mosports. Be interesting to pick his brain.

Did anyone else see Milan's head coach on their sideline wearing MC gear? Thought that was weird; nothing wrong or illegal, just don't see many coaches in the same class helping another team on game day. Anyone have more insight on this, perhaps I saw wrong.

No, that was Milan's head coaches' identical twin brother, Stefan. Just a coincidence.

I don't think it's unusual for coaches from other schools to help one another in the playoffs. I've known coaches that have help with scouting and in the press box after their seasons were over. Maybe the ex Valle coach was a friend of someone on the Monroe city staff. I can see how that coach could be shunned in the community or worse if he still works at Valle. But nothing illegal about it.
