since MoSooner and Cards rushed into the fray recently I wanted to add something I saw on Tigerboard.

In the last 5 NFL drafts the Nubs and boomer have one first round pick each
Lane Johnson for OU (Juco transfer) and Prince Amukamara for the nubs (nubs draft history since 98 is not good)

I knew the fall off was there but didn't realize how precipitous it is. Is it recruiting? Honestly how can two programs that were the top dogs at one time go into a drought like that?

Well don't just beat around the bush; tell us how many MIZ has had in that time???

Does their draft history since 98 look worse than Mizzous football programs history?

Nubs have had FOUR first round picks in 17 years. (Bad Program Mizzou has 7).

Nubs have won 3 division titles in 13 years. Mizzou has 5 in 8 years.
Bo Pelini never lost fewer than 4 games in his nub career . Last season the nubs have fewer than 4 losses? 3 in 2003.under Solich.

You know what Mizzou won?

Conference realignment.

Nubs are still stuck in Jr Membership until 2017. Mizzou was full member of the best athletic conference in America from day 1.

Have fun trying to get a program restarted up there. Solich is still laughing.

History isn't going to help Nebraska.

again interesting that you cut off ONE year after OU had THREE of the top four picks in the whole draft. As I have pointed out numerous times the fascination that many Mizzou fans have with Oklahoma and the Big 12 never ceases to amaze me. You wanted out, you are out. and the Big 12 is just fine with the two teams that they took on. Would I like for OU to have more top round picks? of coarse. But the fact remains, outside of a few MU diehards no one in their right mind would take the Tigers program over the Sooners.

It appears the two programs are heading in opposite directions. Until Boomer can unhook from Big Daddy Bevo they'll continue their slide.

SEC money will start kicking in soon.
