If Nixa beat Joplin by 1 and Joplin beat Webb by 1...then

Nixa played with the backup qb most of the game ..they should have won by two scores and almost blew it . Snapped punts over the punters head their last two drives

they are well coached and outclassed joplin all night. 2 picks in the 1st half and 2 bad snaps late kept joplin in the game.

Snapped the ball over the punter’s head TWICE and still won?
Yeah, but he got the punt away on the 2nd one.
I went to the game. I was very impressed with Nixa's defense and they're coaching/play calling. They were very prepared for this game. Their defense has a lot of speed and they don't miss tackles. Their starting QB went down with what looked like a possible ACL, but not sure. But, their backup that came in is who had started for them in week 1 against Branson. He's a speedy little dude. Nixa is for real and will probably bring a challenge to Webb and Carthage as well. They also have a good RB who is a Sophomore. It seemed like most of their guys were pretty young and should be good for at least the next few years.

Here's a question for the high school football refs around here. Check out this play at 1:57:25 at this link: (Edit) after clicking on the link, you need to click the "Demand" tab, then the Joplin/Nixa game

Nixa had a 4th and 5 in the 3rd quarter at their own 40. The offense got set, then the entire team then lunged to the left, but the ball wasn't snapped. They called offsides on the defense, but none of us could figure this play out. How is this not be an illegal shift? Heck of a play if it is truly a legal play. I've never seen it before.

I found another link that shows the play better at 2:37:25.
I'm guessing the play was considered legal because the center never touched the ball. Interesting play by Nixa.
