I would look to form a new conference in Mid Mo. It would consist of Cole Camp, Lincoln, Windsor, Tipton, Versailles (if they would leave Tri-County), Russellville (which will be getting football), Slater, Then add Warsaw (I jnow they just joined the new conference), St. Paul, Knob Noster, Sweet Springs or Concordia to have 8 solid teams that are pretty equal in talent. Any thoughts

Essentially you are just saying Russellville, Slater and Versailles join the Kaysinger. Versailles is a perfect fit for the Tri-County, it is double the size of all the other schools proposed you just said. They just have a loser football coach and AD want to leave to save their jobs is why they were pushing leaving the Tri-County last year is what I gathered from reading the newspaper reports.

There are a lot of factors that go into any program being successful. Blaming one person or calling them a loser is uncalled for. Coaching is tough, there is always someone that knows more than the coach or knows how to make the situation better. Sometimes there are factors outside the coaches control. This happens more than we want to admit. Personally I would defend coaches in most situations because of the time and effort they put into a program and the kids. This situation hits home with me because I feel like this is an attack on a good man and a good coach!

Not really if they could get Knob or warsaw. competitively it would be great. Imnot slamming any coach at all. Just know there is not a true champ in Kaysinger with not enough teams

I know both well and neither would be losers. Not where your anger comes from, but they are suppose to look at what is best for their kids as a whole. All the schools in the Tri County seem to be growing except for Versailles so it would be pretty smart to look at options for all kids! Coming on here calling them losers is your opinion, but please keep it to yourself and not on the public board. I do not appreciate that at all. Coaching is hard enough. Being an AD is even harder.

Why would those schools want to partner with schools that seem to have 8 man in their near future?

Mid West MO Conference (ALL 9 GAMES LOCKED IN NO FOOTWORK BY AD)
Windsor 1A
Knob Noster 2A
Crest Ridge 1A
Lincoln 1A
Cole Camp 2A
Tipton 1A
Concordia 1A
Sweet Springs 1A
St. Paul's 2A
Sherwood 2A

Auto correct changed losing to loser. Sorry about that. But record speaks for themselves. Losing record coach who doesn't look like he will get the program turned around even to their normal standards which is middle of the pack football program at a historically a basketball school.

Why would the 4 I-70 schools even think about leaving that conference for longer bus rides against bigger schools?

GREAT POINT(s) and to the guy that said they have a loser coach, maybe you should take the job and go and win a bunch of games.

BearsCountry - Looking at your previous post about Versailles you know exactly when the board was going to vote on moving to another conference. You reported who they hired for the basketball job the day after the meeting. And even asked a question about how long someone should get and said you believe its 5 years... exactly the same amount of years Versailles' head coach has been at his post. But this post you "gathered" information from reading the newspaper reports. I went and looked into the archives and not one mention was about the football coach, but 20+ coaches were in attendance and in favor of the move. You seem to be pretty close to the situation.
