Christian values? Im talking about baseball. Stop smoking your supper. Possibly the dumbest statement ever on this board. After getting your butt kicked by the Cubs in 2015. Then having them run away with the division in 2016. What team would you spend a lot of time and resources scouting and preparing for in 2017? If you care about the St. Louis fan base who is the ONE team you make sure doesnt dominate you more than any other team dominates any other team in the entire league? The Cubs underachieved by most people's standards yet Matheny cant align his pitching or prepare his team any better than that? Awful. Its an insult. Since Maddon made his Sopranos comment in 2015 Matheny has been pitiful in this matchup.

Go back to the early 1900s. I doubt you find a Cardinals manager who was ever worse in one season vs the Cubs.

If they could have beat the Reds a few more times they probably would have been in the wild card. The Cubs have a little more talent too. Maddon wasn't the John Wooden of baseball this year either. The Cardinals need work, top to bottom and they need to start with fundamental baseball. Oquendo will make this team better defensively and on the base pads this year.
