the main man on said they have 1000 beds and all the other stuff they need. I made the statement on one of these threads the other day the number I had heard was 7000 beds. I have no where that came from now but I didn't question it because I always hear about cruise ships having 4 or 5 thousand people them so I figured a big hospital ship might hold that many since they would not have lot of space taken up for other stuff like a cruise ship does. Either way another thousand beds and all the equipment and personal that run it will be a big help on both coasts to get some of the normal sick people out the regular hospitals on shore so the virus folks can get taken care of.

it is a good thing for quarantining and treating those who need it. Remember most cases do not require hospitalization so 1000 beds might be enough to handle 40,000 cases in the LA area.

The guy on the boat says eh expects it will be used to take on people with other issues to make room for the virus folks. They have 100 operating rooms so maybe they can take some of those elective surgery people that have been kicked back but still need something fixed.
