All I know is that letting Waino start tonight because management thinks that giving up 4 runs in five innings is giving your team a chance to win goes against all stats I've grown up with and all the new metrics. I predict this game will be over by the 4th inning as the Dodger's score 4 in 4 innings and we score 0 thus giving us very little chance to win. Sure hope I'm wrong!
Don’t blame metrics on this decision. There’s not a metric in the entire bible that says he deserves a start. All I know is that letting Waino start tonight because management thinks that giving up 4 runs in five innings is giving your team a chance to win goes against all stats I've grown up with and all the new metrics. So far, so good. Four scoreless. Still holding my breath with every pitch. Fingers crossed and sweaty palms.Don’t blame metrics on this decision. There’s not a metric in the entire bible that says he deserves a start.
Dude can still chuck a nasty curveball up there and so far no big mistakes with the fast ball. I can't figure out why hitters can't see the curveball coming when his index finger is sticking straight up for all to see and every announcer person talks about it. Surely they all see it on video. You don't need to pick up rotation, just look at the grip when he starts his motion.I’m very leary of a Waino start, too. But I love the guy and want him to prove us all wrong.
He looked good. As good as I’ve seen him since the Achilles. Location has been what has killed him along with the obvious lack of velocity during arm troubles. Both were good tonight. Just hope it’s not fools gold. He’s gotta be able to locate.Nice job , Waino. I’m glad you’re making me feel a bit guilty for doubting you. Do it again later this week. Proud of and happy for you. Have to admit though ... still leary of you.
You’re absolutely correct when you talk about location. He’s not going to blows too many (if any) away with his fastball. He’s going to have to continue being a “pitcher” to survive. He looked good. Love it when one of the Birds that I'm hammering prove me wrong. Go Birds! You’re absolutely correct when you talk about location. He’s not going to blows too many (if any) away with his fastball. He’s going to have to continue being a “pitcher” to survive.
You're bound to be a Mizzou fan. Just because you don't believe in a guys ability to perform based on a couple years of evidence, doesn't make one a hater. That said, I hope he keeps flying those middle fingers my direction! Keep locating the fastball, limiting the cutter, sprinkling the change, and pulling down on that yaker and he'll be fine.Waino headed to DL.... with two hyper extended middle fingers to all you haters! Lol. Was at the ballpark last night. It was a blast. Could feel the energy on the mound from my seat.

Fly off the handle on him all you want. That dude can spin the rock. Bullets everywhere...I'd love to see Waino go all Andy Benes/Jeff Weaver (so dreamy) and just turn flat nasty this postseason. The quote was a little tongue in cheek. That's why I put the "Lol". But in general, I try not to fly off the handle one way or another in my fandom. EXCEPT FOR PATRICK MAHOMMES! MVP MVP MVP. In all seriousness, when it comes to Waino, I never count the guy out. He's at least earned that respect (from me)

I would love nothing more than to see Waino end this season in fairytale fashion.Fly off the handle on him all you want. That dude can spin the rock. Bullets everywhere...I'd love to see Waino go all Andy Benes/Jeff Weaver (so dreamy) and just turn flat nasty this postseason.
