Wellington Napoleon (12-2 in 2009)

Quenton Bainbridge’s Tiger squad put together a solid
2009 campaign completing the season with a 12-2 record and a trip to the
Class 1 semifinals.

This season the Tigers return four offensive and four
defensive starters hoping to duplicate success achieved a season ago.

“We just lost a very talented group of seniors from
2009”, commented Bainbridge. “We
will have to work hard in the offseason if we want to continue to be
successful. We are returning a great receiving core, which will have to
be the basis of our offensive success. We do have talented
underclassmen, but will return little experience.”

So the Tigers hope their young group will mature into
a championship football team.
The receivers Bainbridge spoke of include senior Blake
Seitz
(6-3 185), senior Taylor Bryant(6-1 165),
and senior Dylon Register(6-1 175).

Senior center Clayton Wieligman(6-3
230) returns at center and will anchor the offensive line.
Newcomers to watch include junior RB/LB Nathan Arndt(6-1 175) and
senior OL/DL Taylor Burnett(6-2 225).

Wellington will be challenged by No. 8 ranked
Concordia and the Orrick Bearcats.
