Needs to happen. He had people believing the most ignorant things. Not sure how to balance freedom of the press and lying but this needs to happen to a lot of the national media when they're caught lying. Also for social media for blocking truthful information and calling it filtering.

In days of old, if a media outlet reported a false story, the fallout would seriously damage their credibility and reputation. Today, we are expected to filter the news ourselves, which is dang near impossible when we never seem to hear the entire truth.
At least they would print a retraction or show a retraction. In the effort to be first right is second. As long as they admit they messed up that is at least a chance to retain some credibility.
There was a time not so long ago when this man's lies would have been shut down with in hours and things would not have been pretty for him.

It also helps to have people like him out there, allowing for people to think 'Well Tucker ain't as bad as him, so he must be ok,' which shifts the narrative further in that direction, because the middle shifts further in that direction.

Putin knows he has the US's hands tied right now. We are in no shape to go to war with Russia.
