Lee's Summit North...by far, the fastest team around. It isn't close really.

Kenyon Mozee (RB) 10.62 100 meters last year. Top 5 in the state.
Nyles Thomas (CB/FS) 10.67 100 meters last year. Top 5 in the state.
John Eldrige RB/CB 10.91 100 meters.
Dubon Okonkwo MLB//FS 11.21

They have four other seniors that ran 11.33 or better this past track season.

I don't know about their line...but no one will be matching that speed. Nobody.

Just to give you some perspective...here is Webb City's fastest 100meters Since 2005. Lee's Summit North has 8 players on one team faster than Webb's 7th fastest 100m since 2005. They have two guys as fast as the great Kiante Hardin.

100 Meters

Kiante Hardin 10.67 2015

Jarvis Jones 10.79 (.2) 2012

Maddy Johnson 10.7h 2011

Hunter VanLue 11.11 2017

Keeton Jackson 11.19 2016

Austin Morris 11.24 2016

Marty Rodgers 11.33 (.8) 2005

Kaleb Potts 11.34 2016

I know...your best athletes play baseball. That's what they all say.

I’m sure that 5 / 100th of a second will make the difference on the field.........

These kids are all long gone. What’s the times for Webb’s current roster Albert???

Are these track times in shorts or football times in pads???

speed is a great asset to have but if you can’t pass the ball your not going to beat the very good teams. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong. Right now need to worry about the BS/Rock game Friday.

FB never changes. It all begins UP FRONT. If the LSN O Line doesn't bear up vs. the top teams coming up it won't matter how fast their backs etc. are. I agree on offensive diversity but some of that is mitigated by cold weather later in the season and is definitely now a factor since the title games are no longer in the Dome.

All your post over the years seemed like meaningless dribble... but after being faced with these undebatable facts I now believe it is time to phase out the football program at WC.
I mean really, who were we kidding with all these meaningless wins and trophies? We’re just not Kansas City and never will be!

His KC bias is rather toxic . I understand it because people in swmo have a swmo bias and vice versa but sometimes his head is just too far into the sand . And why he felt the need to compare a KC team with little relevance to Webb and point out how much more athletic they are only hammers home my rhetoric that what Webb accomplishes is truly amazing and a combination of Jimmy and Joe's and X's and 0's . If Webb lost Everytime they were out sized , out maned athletically , etc they wouldn't be in the semi finals like 18 out of the last 20 years and would never beat the likes of Rockhurst, Lsw , St Thomas Aquinas, Har Ber , Jeff City , Bentonville, Rockbridge , etc. They are out everything'd often but rarely out executed and out worked and they somehow win like 93,% of the time . I guess it's simply easier to say their competition sucks than give credit where it is due

CJ has had as much speed in the state as any class 4 team the last couple of years. It hasn't translated to more than one win vs. Webb. Speed helps in football, but winning games depends on so much more than that. Gotta have the horses up front and the ability to execute every play. Our speed sure didn't help in the district championship game last year when we lost the battle in the trenches.

Speed is a great tool to have. Fastest kid I've ever seen was in the early 90's from Fair Grove. Ran 100yds in full pads in some crazy time, 10 point something. Even our coach told us if he hit the sideline don't even bother chasing him, can't be caught. But he was also called the human candle. One blow and he was out. Heard he went on and set some NCAA track records in Div II . But at the time we had beat Fair Grove like 8 years in a row. Most of them shutouts. I agree with my coach, ill take 25 kids that can play football over 2 or 3 superstars.

The only way I could explain Webbs success would be to have an old video of "Thursday Night Fights" under the street light in Alba during 2 a days and show it to city people. Cops finally broke it up one night cause traffic couldn't get through town there ended up so many people showing up to watch.

I remember one night Josh Holden caught Spieker with a good solid punch and his hands went up and he said "that's it"

You have the makings of a football team when after practicing all day long in the heat they drag out some boxing gloves and put on a semi organized tough man competition in the middle of main street lol

those were good times, loved seeing Chris Taylor turn on the jets

Difference is our slow guys can play football,,,,North doesn’t average winning 2-3 games a year you need to take this crap to the Track & Field Board :)

Imagine that..all that speed and they still wouldn't be beating Blue Springs or CBC..

Otherwise Grandview would have a lot more championships.

Well, being in the top 5-10 schools in size every year in a 64 team class doesn't hurt either.

Biased because I point out the fact that KC wins half the championships in C5 and C6 and an independent group (Maxpreps) made a list of the top dynasties in Missouri, and 7 of them are from the KC area? Jeez. How is that BIASED? That is just fact.

And why would I not use Webb as a test case to compare speed? Being the third rated dynasty for the past 15 years (and without a surplus of D1 talent) it was a excellent choice for comparison.

All the doubters at the start of the SEASON!! BAHAHA

Well, they will crush Rock this week.

Marsupials, for the most part, are pretty slow. Take, for example, the opossum. They can rarely cross the road without getting whacked.
I’d guess Trinity is one of the fastest teams in the state; unfortunately, they often run into each other on the snap, negating any team speed they do have.

Marsupials starting at the 25 second mark.

Could go either way, it was a good game last year.

The poster you quoted obviously didn't realize that LSN might actually be as good up front as they are fast. Two D1 OL in Gibson and Stevens and potentially a third at some point in the future in Urick, and at least one D1 kid on the defensive line in Okonkwo (DE/OLB).

Okonkwo is really good, definitely a kid that hasn't received the attention this season that he deserves.

Webb City has never even had the fastest player in the 4 state area at a given time. They aren’t known for blazing speed they are known for being football players. What was the point of this?

Funny how we all posted/chatted about how wide open C6 in the KC Metro is this year and look, after all the dust settles, at who is left: Blue Springs and Rockhurst. Tradition actually does matter I guess.............:)
How many KC teams could have won C6/2 ?
