How does Joplin do 1st year in the COC?

I have said pound for pound the Big 8 is as physical as any conference. CJ was used to that mentality but had not seen the size and strength of the bigger schools in the coc on a weekly basis. They obviously did okay.
Joplin on the other hand has seen the large bodies but may not be mentally ready for the tenasisty the coc plays with physically. Will be interesting to watch but in the long run I think it is a lot to do about nothing. These are 15-18 year old kids who are resilient. They will figure it out quickly.

I think Joplin will be fine, You take out Webb City, Carthage, and CJ and the COC is pretty much on pare with the Ozark in most years.

Stepping up and taking on Webb, Carthage and CJ which are local and most of these kids have been knocking heads with since 3 grade and know them personally. I think you could be surprised by how they respond.

For Joplin this is a good move. Nixa and Ozark are growing fast and will be close to their size in just a few short years if they both don't decide to go to two schools at sometime.
