Those folks aren't good at baseball. If you are the one who constructed this roster, you arent good at baseball either.

All the "amazing young arms we have in this organization"???? Where exactly are they?

Im amazed the four pitchers mentioned, along with Bowman, are still on the roster. Any with options should be down. No options get DFA’d.

One of the young arms is lost for the year. One pitched 7 inns of no hit the other night. Another pitched 6 1/3 no hit the next night, and has looked good out of the pen. Another (Hudson) got yanked in the 2nd inn last night in lieu of tomorrow’s callup. Another (Hensley) has been nursing a sore something for a couple weeks. But make no mistake, they’re good. Just not sure why they’re not up. Maybe giving the dinosaurs until Aug 1 to actually remember how to pitch?

I'm with you. If you can't trust any of the terrible vets to pitch, why not bring up the young talent and see what they can do? I would think/hope none of them would be sporting ERAs over 7 like 3 guys in our pen currently are. There's 5 out there with ERAs over 5. Barf...

Mo is the Grichuk of FO personnel, he went deep with Mikolas. He hit a double with Norris, but Holland, Cecil, Gregerson, Lyons, and Fowler are all K's.

Signing the pre-mature longer term deals with Wong, DeJong, Piscotty, etc is a strategy I am not sold on. Money is still a motivating factor for young players.

Not sure if you can throw Cecil, Lyons, and Fowler on Mo. Especially Lyons. Cecil was solid, if unspectacular his last 2 years in Toronto. Fowler was great with the small bears and even solid for us last year. Mo did stretch with the length of these contracts, but who knew they would each blow up and have total meltdowns of their abilities that quickly? In addition, Lyons has pitched pretty well for us the last 3 years and is coming off a career best season last year. Not to mention, he's homegrown so we didn't have to trade for or go out and pay him. That doesn't excuse the pure garbage they're contributing to the team right now, but I'm just unsure how you can pin those 3 specifically on Mo.

No!!! Go back in mosports to our signing of Cecil. I was ridiculed because I pointed out in only 37 innings the man blew 7 games. He was 1-7. When a relief pitcher has that many decisions in that few innings, he aint doing his job. He was in a downward spiral before we signed him.

And who has Lyons on the roster?.?? Mo.

The buck stops at the top. These people on the radio who keep saying " well the Cecil signing and the Ozuna trade were positively reviewed when they happened......." are trying to rationalize moves that failed.

Holland was obviously on a down hill slide.
Fowler had reached the age everyone says you shouldnt sign anyone to long term deals. These are major mistakes. How do you judge Mo? Did his moves make the club better?

I also just love it when the pressure is on and the team is in the race people like Lyons and Cecil will implode. Then in September when the team is hopelessly out of contention they will put together a month of fine work to distort their overall stats. Look at me, I was throwing great at the end of the year against September call ups!!

Young outfielders aren't getting a chance either. When Wong comes off DL Munoz who has been as solid as anybody will be back on the bench.

I sure was hoping Bader would get at least one big hit last but he struck out over and over. He needs to be in the OF but he's gonna have to hit sometime when it matters If they take Munoz off of 2nd they might as well put him in RF and see what happens but it appears our new manager is intent on playing Fowler all the time. Maybe that was a condition for him to get the job? :(

I'm not saying he's done a great job putting the roster together, but at the time the signings and trades were made, they certainly weren't considered the dumpster fires they turned out to be. Lyons should not currently be on the roster now, I agree. Honestly, send him to the minors if you can. If he's out of options, DFA him and put Gomber in the pen in his role. My point was that he's been good in the past so I can see why he had a roster spot initially. Seems like the wheels are just falling off for him like several others on the team this year. To me, that's the biggest concern. I don't think all of these guys just suddenly forgot how to perform at a level anywhere close to their norms. It really makes me wonder about the coaching staff and the day to day operations.

They have 60 games left to show they are capable of playing sound baseball. Seems like major roster changes are needed and money will be a major factor
