Holding

Defensive holding is a 5 yard penalty despite possibly preventing a much bigger gain by the offense. Why the hell is offensive holding a 10 yard penalty?
Five would seem more equitable.

Doesn’t a defensive holding result in an automatic first down? Seems like that would even things out a little.

I say make it interesting. Any defensive player caught holding gets their left pinky toe amputated.

I would be all in on a shock collar system with varying levels of electricity based on seriousness of infraction.

Defensive Holding is a 10 yard penalty. In high school it is not an automatic first down. In college it is an auto 1st if a legal forward pass crosses the line of scrimmage and the hold is against an eligible receiver
