Highest paying jobs in U.S., a theme

Who is worth more to you,,,,the guy who works on your car or the surgeon that cuts you open and rebuilds your heart so you live another healthy 15-20 years???
So the guy who makes sure my brakes work, I don't go careening off a cliff is not worth as much as the guy who does open heart surgery?

I'd imagine they're grouping profession athletes into one category. On average, not that high. Now, if you had a category exclusively for "All_Pro franchise NBA basketball players", then you'd be talkin'!

How about All_Pro teachers, what should they make, considering were would we be with no teachers?

Everything is relative. By that logic why doesn't every doctor make $10 M a year?

Further, pay is a poor proxy for "value"

God bless her. I did it for 32 years and the satisfaction of dealing with young people and having some of them still an important part of my life and I in theirs more than makes up for the lack of money. The money is not as bad as some wold have you beieve.

She is transferring to a college out in Wichita Kansas to finish up her two years and play her final two years of softball before she hangs up the cleats. I told her to enjoy it while she can.

Yes my mom taught and went into administration she does pretty well for retirement, she now double dips as she teaches at a local college. I never finished my degree...thought I knew it all. o_O
