Either Smithville runs the table or could have a 2-3 way co champs of MEC.
Does the MEC do tiebreakers? If Smithville loses at Maryville and at Chillicothe is Chilli the champs or are there co-champs?

Also ... Lafayette would have to lose to Maryville for the above to be relevant.

I think there are Co-champs. Lafayette QB Diego Bernard was on fire. Unofficially I had him 16 of 21 for 332 yards and 5 touchdowns with 150 yards and 4 tds to receiver Ja'Den King. Bernard also had 150 yards rushing including an 81 yard touchdown and had a 65 yard INT where the ball literally bounced out of the Chillicothe receiver's hands into Bernard's hands. Chillicothe closed it to with in 8 points in the 4th quarter but couldn't get any closer. MEC is up for grabs, definitely.

Use to be co-champs.

KCHI could probably answer this. But I was thinking Chilli, Platte County, & Cameron were co-champs one year.

It makes sense when 3 teams tie and each is 1-1 against the others but when two teams tie then you could use head-to-head to crown a champ.

I don't know the "official" Conferee by-laws answer. I've just always considered co champions or tri-champions. I figured up my unofficial stats.. over 1,000 yards of offense combined between the two teams...Chillicothe was down by just two with 9 minutes left but couldn't get any closer. Maryville is at Smithville next week, could be a good one.
