Higginsville

I have not actually seen Higginsville play this year. I don't get a chance to see many East side teams actually, but I can tell you that Higginsville lost to a Lexington squad that had a great QB and RB and a stout Defensive line. Last year, Higginsville had a pretty balanced offense and had TEs that could catch, but that was last year. O line wins games, could probably tell you more.

Higginsville runs traditional Wing T out of the Pistol. When they can't run the ball they go empty and throw it #20 Elmore.

They have good athletes all over, but are not very good up front. Typical wing T misdirection plays have worked best for them this year because they aren't great up front.

#20 Elmore is a wing back that is their go too, but #2 Thirkield and #4 Hinton are also very good players, and their Sophomore QB is a good player as well.

Big TE #99 is a great blocker and good receiver and they have a 6'5" receiver #8 that is decent.

Defensively they are tough to get blocked because they are very athletic and and aggressive.

I don't see Lamar having much trouble against them honestly. Lexington runs the same offense and Higg couldn't stop it. At one point Lexington had a 2nd and 39 and Lexington ran it 3 times in a row and got it.

Frankly, I think Brookfield was a better team, but Higg had a few breaks go their way, including a tipped pass intercepted and return to the one setting up a score right before half, and at least 2 fumbles bounce right back to them.

They will throw or pass and are good at both, but not great... To answer your original question lol
