39 years! Defeated a game Mid Buck team today 63-62. Congrats Husker Nation! Will face Thayer next at state in Springfield.
Can they hang with Thayer? Thayer is really really good.
They had basketball in 74? Peach baskets?I watched Higginsville in the semifinals in 1974. Yes ,I'm that old. lol
I've seen Bolivar. Thayer beating them is beyond impressive. Can they hang with Thayer? Thayer is really really good.
Richmond (Class 4) is playing one of the marquee mid-enrollment programs in St. Joe Lafayette. IF they get by that one could be a FB repeat where two MRVC East schools go to the final four! What a year for you all!39 years! Defeated a game Mid Buck team today 63-62. Congrats Husker Nation! Will face Thayer next at state in Springfield.
That's true...but Bolivar had some bi-polar moments. Got beat by Rolla. Rolla was good, but nothing terribly special. Teenagers, can be, well teenagers some nights.I've seen Bolivar. Thayer beating them is beyond impressive.
Good point! In this sport is that ever the case..............That's true...but Bolivar had some bi-polar moments. Got beat by Rolla. Rolla was good, but nothing terribly special. Teenagers, can be, well teenagers some nights.

They get maybe the most infamous medium enrollment program in MO history in Charleston now. Today I say that one is a TOSSUP. Best of luck to the HUSKERS!Wow, Thayer gives up an offensive rebound with 11 secs left and only the shooter to block out.
What an awful way to lose in such a great season.
Great game by Higginsville
Why do you call the Charleston program infamous? They get maybe the most infamous medium enrollment program in MO history in Charleston now. Today I say that one is a TOSSUP. Best of luck to the HUSKERS!
They've been vying for and winning State titles since I was in High School (early 80s). They seem to ALWAYS be in the mix.Why do you call the Charleston program infamous?
When was the last time they didn't win their district title????
1975, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1996, 2007, 2012 State Champs.
The 2009-2010 season....When was the last time they didn't win their district title????
I acknowledge the history of their program. I just always thought the term infamous had a negative connotation. I thought you were inferring something disreputable about their program that I wasn't aware of. No harm, no foul, carry on.They've been vying for and winning State titles since I was in High School (early 80s). They seem to ALWAYS be in the mix.
Nope they shall live in "infamy". That being said GOOOOOOO HUSKERS!I acknowledge the history of their program. I just always thought the term infamous had a negative connotation. On Sunday, you said "few gave Higginsville a chance this year." Did you find out in the last week that those few actually did not, in fact, give Higginsville a chance?we didn't get beat, but we were behind when time ran out.....great season to my Huskers!!! no one, and i mean no one gave us a chance to win it all this year.
