Higginsville 0 lamar 45 final

I think todd just missed it. It was 5 ft in the air when wilkerson caught it. If it was an onside wouldnt he have kicked it on the ground to give our guys an actual chance at it. It was just luck that wilkerson happened to look and see it coming straight for him

Sell that line where someone will buy it. The kicker hadn't missed anything all day. Even the missed field goal was a good strike.

I'm not sure but I think the ball moved off the tee just as he was attempting to kick. The ball went straight down to the ground and bounced into Wilkerson ' hands. Lamar was not trying to onside kick. He had been playing the reserves for quite awhile, why would he try an onside kick?

Why would he purposely onside it then put in his freshman offense in if he was doing something so classless as kicking an onside up 45-0?

Lamar is first class, humble, good sport and we treat opposing team fans with respect. If you believe that this was an onside kick (then it would be the mother of all onside kicks), and if you believe we would onside kick when beating a team by 45 points, then you simply do not know much about the Tigers at all. Stop trying to berate a team who has consistently shown class. Our JV and Freshmen were on the field starting 1/2 way through the third quarter. Use some common sense and you would realize it doesn't make sense to do an onside kick when you are purposefully playing your underclassmen. If we wanted to keep the ball we would have simply kept the varsity in and continued scoring.

I would also point out you have 78 posts with not one single like. Maybe you should consider doing something other than post on forums. It doesn't seem to be your calling.

You tell us. You know him. The Lamar first team defense played the majority if not all the game. Not that Lafayette County had moved the ball all day, but one sure way to preserve a shutout is to keep the other team's offense off the field.

Congrats to Lamar. Great program. They've got too much tradition and pride to worry about onside kicking up 45 points. Sounds like your feeling sorry for yourself and now trying to defame the Lamar program. From what I hear, Lafayette Co. is no stranger to trying to stat up late in games that were decided long before.

Those silly kid's are told to squib kicks and they end up looking like a onside.

If it was an intentional onside why would Coach Bailey walk half way across the field after the play to apologize to the opposing coach? Give me a break.

as a graduate of Lafayette Co aka Higginsville, and as a member that has helped financially support this web site for years, I put no stock in someone who has been on here for two days and immediately states things like "From what I hear.."
Congrats to Lamar on the win, and I wish you good luck next weekend.

Well how about this then, I have seen Higg stat up late first hand multiple times over the last few years.

That's the only thing tinman has said that I remotely agree with, but he's not wrong on that..
