There was kid at the 3R - West Plains game last night from Lafayette that was on the MoSports Super 50 list the other day. He was introduced as a 3R recruit but I can't remember his name.

Cameron Scales 6' 3" plays for the Lafayette Lancers 21-2 out of Sub, West Conference in St. Louis. Lafayette's two loses are to Hazelwood Central 19-5 and Vianney 15-10. I have heard rumors that the 3-Rivers Raiders might have interest in the 3 year starter from Rockwood Lafayette. How long has it been since Gene and Brain Bess recruited a player from the St. Louis area?

The Lafayette Lancers play a modest schedule but are favored to win class 5 district 8 but their season most likely will end in the sectional when the class 5 district 7 projected winner ( Chaminade ) will be waiting.

Marcel Lee, a 6' PG from St.Louis, is a freshman for the Raiders this year.

Hey 3-Rfan, Pacific 17-4 is so angry @ the Sullivan Eagles 12-10

The Indians may take it out on the troubled Hermann Bearcats 15-9 tonight. The Pacific Indians have one of their best teams in the last 20 years according to the Pacific Coaching staff let one get away last Tuesday evening @ Sullivan by the score of 65-54. The Pacific Indians are mad and can't wait to get on the floor tonight @ Hermann with redemption on their mind.

The same thing happened in SEMO last night @ Sikeston. The Sikeston Bulldogs were mad @ coach Drew Church and his Cape Central Tigers after their 10 point plus loss on Tuesday to Cape Central and put a beating on class 2 power Bernie 81-60 on Thursday evening. The Sikeston Bulldogs may get another chance @ " Class act " Drew Church and his Cape Central Tigers in class 4 district 1 in less then two weeks.

Thanks, Jerry Tarkanian for using one of you quotes.

Re: Sikeston at Washington, Wednesday, Feb 25 @ 6 pm. Varsity only....(nm)

Sikeston should win their 6th game in seven tries this year playing in St. Charles County and now Franklin County. The Washington BlueJays are 11-10 for the year but has beaten Zumwalt North 69-65 and Sullivan 69-48 for their two big wins this season. The Sikeston Bulldogs should be a big favorite to win this game. The Bluejays were hit hard by graduation last year and appears to be looking toward the future for wins.

I hope the Washington fans will come out to see the " Athletic Sikeston Bulldogs " play next Wednesday. I like the Bulldogs " Style of play ".

metro, you might not be aware of this about Sullivan

Sullivan's best defensive player, Logan Hoffman, didn't play last Tuesday against Pacific. Out with an ankle injury. He's also arguably Sullivan's most consistent outside shooter, especially when he's set. I've been asked what I'd do against Pacific. I said, I'd play man with Hoffman on Van Leer. Hoffman's quick enough to deny him from getting too comfortable receiving passes on the perimeter, can challenge him off the dribble and strong enough if Van Leer posts up. Hoffman would still need some help from teammates in certain situations. But it's hard to argue with Sullivan's defensive strategy in the last game.
I'd have the same approach against Borgia with Hoffman on Eckelcamp.
Problem is, Sullivan might have their hands full against Owensville. They did the last time they played.
That district is really intriguing.

I'm not sure if Sikeston is supposed to be favored or not, but if anybody was hit hard by graduation it is Sikeston. They lost 8 seniors from last year. And this year alone since October have lost three starters and two players off the bench. Sikeston is 13-8, so this game appears to be a tossup.
