First I appreciate your mosports name honoring my favorite baseball team.

Now, did you know that since 2004, the redbirds have played 91 post season games
The next closest franchise is the Yankees with 62.

I feel your pain.

I have to give you credit. The Cubs are in last but they have had 10 different players make their major league debuts.

The Cards are in first but they have only had 10 players make their major league debuts.
Oh, wait

Young and on top. Livin the dream.

The only honor I give your team is wiping with a shirt that says STL Cards on the front

Yes, your organization's 10 players is the absolute identical situation to the Cubs. You're not that daft, are you?

Cards I think you must have been a little confused when looking at the records/standings of the Cards and Cubs. The Cards have WON 88 games, the Cubs have LOST 88 games. The Cards are on TOP of the division, the Cubs are at the bottom, 17 games out. If that is being in identical situations you've a got scoop on the playoff picture the rest of us can't see.

I'm just PO'd Bryant wasn't called up in Sept. I really wanted to see him in this last series. Any clue why they didn't give him the call up?

One name is the reason he was not called up

Scott Boras

Bryant is going to be one of those guys that you just know is going to succeed, so there was no sense in starting his clock this late in the year and lose service time when Boras is his agent. That saves millions down the road that could easily be allocated into signing someone like a Lester or Mad Max. Also, this was his first full professional season. I wanted to see him, but fully understand the reasoning behind leaving him in Iowa. Jorge Soler is going to be the dark horse. His injuries early in the minors made him look to be a bust, but he looks good to go now. He is going to be exciting out in RF.

Which comes to the next issue with Bryant, that I can't fully answer right now- is he going to play 3rd or LF

Gotcha. Makes sense on the clock. Wasn't aware Sept. call-ups counted toward their service time.

I dig Soler. A lot. Big bat and dude has a hose. Birds pitchers too about three or four games to realize he hits fastballs up REALLY hard.

Don't you think Bryant plays LF? He and Soler flanking Almora??? Leaves room for Baez and/or Russel at 3B?

My dream scenario would make every NL pitcher piss their pants. This is in a perfect world and probably 2 years away.....

CF Almora
2B Castro
1st Rizzo
RF Soler
LF Bryant
3rd Baez
C Schwarber
SS Russell
Pitcher

Will this happen? Unlikely. My guess is Baez is traded in the next 2 years. Alcantara is a gamer, it hurts to leave him out of a lineup

Baez will hard to trade if he can't fix that huge hole in bat that pitchers keep finding.

Again, trend maps

He struggles every single time he is promoted. Anthony Rizzo struggled just like this in first call up with the Padres and last year with the Cubs....

I think he has turned out just fine. Baez is 21, I'm not too concerned in his future or his trade value
