If scheduling were truly the problem, Helias could solve it tomorrow by scheduling JC. JC used this same argument when criticized for blowing Springfield Central out 83-6. Anyone who even remotely follows high school football in Missouri could have predicted that outcome. Central has been struggling for years, look who they have been playing for the last several years: much smaller schools and getting blown out by THEM. They dropped out of the OC because they stopped being competitive. Anyway....
There is no good reason for Helias and JC to not play each other in football. They already play many of the same opponents, and Helias already plays Hickman and Rock Bridge almost every year(both 6A schools), as does JC. Give the people what they want.
