Helias Catholic High School, a diocesan school in the tradition of Christian Brothers and Sisters of Notre Dame, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished individual to become the school's next head soccer coach.
The Helias Catholic Soccer Program has made 5 Final Four appearances finishing 2nd, 3rd, and three times in 4th place. The program has only had 1 head coach since the program began in 1998. Our goal in hiring our 2nd head soccer coach is to hire a coach who will be a leader in our Catholic school and community for many years to come.
The ideal candidates will possess the ability to become a full-time member of the school community for the 2015-2016 academic year.
• The ideal candidate will;
o understand, respect and be committed to the spiritual, academic, personal and athletic formation of young men and women.
o understand that soccer is an extension of the classroom that allows students to become well-rounded young men of strong moral character
o appreciate the value of Catholic Education and possess a commitment to expand that appreciation and its application to the personal development of young men and women.
o have successful varsity head coaching or extensive assistant coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level.
o demonstrate a strong understanding and commitment to the physical development of athletes through a thorough and well-designed strength and conditioning program.
o possess the ability to develop a comprehensive program that incorporates:
• staff selection, development and formation
• the preparation of students for post high school personal, academic and athletic challenges
• the promotion of Helias Catholic High School and its soccer program as a representative of the Catholic Educational Tradition that espouses excellence in all endeavors
o possess outstanding leadership, communication and organizational skills.
