Helias off to an 0-3 start...

There is more going on here than meets the eye. The defense is 5 players short of the same as last year. The offense is the same personnel with exception of line. Yes that is a lot, but the whole system and approach is being changed and at this point it is not working.

Hellas always plays a rugged schedule so even if they take much of a step back at all they can go from a 7-2 regular season to a 2-7 season.

Seems slow starts from traditional powerhouses are a thing this season. Blue Springs 0-3, California 1-2, Rockhurst 1-2...

Rockhurst starting 1-2 (probably 1-3 because I think Har-Ber wins) will probably put them under the radar. They aren't where they were last year but the are by no means a bad football team. Blue Springs 0-3 is a little shocking.

Pretty sure they lost a lot of skill guys too. 2 WR d-1 Te, 4-5 rbs and 7 or so OL due to graduation. That's a lot to lose and still play up 2 classes each week.

While I agree with you, good coaches in any sport adjust with the talent you are given. This is not happening and is visible to even a novalist of the game.

I agree with this statement, but it is so obvouis that this coaching staff does not have a clue how to use it talents nor do they understand how to make adjustments on defense. It is not fun to watch a program be broken down and changed so much at expense of the players.

We sure haven't heard from the great Rock supporter... CEO. Helias looks organized, well coached. Not the coaches fault the school chose him and did not keep the town favorite. If parents would spend more time supporting and not dividing the new system, the transition would be easier on everyone. Coaching is hard enough, but when players hear all the negativity everyday, it becomes a miserable job. Give the coaches a chance.

Hangman, I'm assuming you talked to some parents. All I have heard is positive things. Don't know who you heard the negativity from but even the best of coaches have their detractors. After reading your statement it sounds like all the parents have turned against the coaching staff. As for the coach that wasn't hired, he was well liked by the players because he never pulled any punches. He was straightforward and the players respected him for it. But that's old news. As for a chance, Helias won this week against Hickman, so when the team starts winning all the talk will eventually lessen. Let's see how things go when districts starts.

A lot of grumbling about the new staff, new system etc from the beginning is all I am saying and not giving the new staff a chance. I do not care either way who they hired.. Just what is being said and how it is divided the team is not fair to the new staff is all I am saying. I think they will turn it around and contend for districts.
