Helias as we know it is no more. I am afraid their new conference affiliation will drag them down to the level of all the other St Louis Schools

In their district is Hannibal. That would be a more likely preseason #1 although I think WC still is hands down. If they rematch defending champ Harrisonville that would be one of THE games of 2017 next November.

Helias might not be number one but I have to think they will be be better than in 2016. I do think Hannibal is a likely contender.

This is the only time in recent memory that I can recall more than 3 teams (WC, Kearney, Helias) having a legitimate claim to preseason number 1. Harrisonville, Webb, Kearney, Platte County, Hannibal, and even Parkway North and Carl Junction could receive first place votes in the preseason polls for 2017.

Harry will get the lions share of the first place votes as they should being defending champions and returning a big chuck of that team. (I do think replacing #29 will be harder than most will imagine) Parkway will get some votes from the StL media and Kearney and Webb will get a few because of who they are. I would be shocked if the media gave any love to Hannibal or CJ.

I was honestly more impressed with 7 than 29. Only saw them twice, but both times that's what I came away thinking. Harrisonville may not win the west, but they won't be in the bottom 3.

Hville has some spots to fill but like most seasons I suspect that they will be pretty good. And your right, #7 is back and he is very, very good himself.

If they have another huge rash of injuries maybe you will be correct. All things being equal, though, HVille should dominate the league with Oak Grove second (the Panthers will be a serious C3 contender in 2017).

Agree about HVille, disagree about OG. I'm not sure they'll be as good as last year
