They say Football is a great sport for life lessons. It teaches how to compete, how to be disciplined, how to work hard, how to lead, how to follow, to be accountable, sacrifice, accomplish goals, stand for something, and most importantly how to be selfless, finish what you start, and control what you can control.
In life it is easy to point fingers and blame others for your short comings but the truth is, it all starts with you just as in the game of football. You have to be committed you have to put in the work you have to be willing to sacrifice and you have to be willing to play the game no matter what and control what you can control. Players play the game the coaches coach it. The blame cannot be laid totally at the last two coaches feet. I think the parents and the players they raised could also have been part of the issue. No coach goes in and says hey I want to lose all 10 games we play this year. I want to run off every kid, I am sure they had a plan and tried to execute it to the best of their ability and for whatever reason it did not work out for them, the players or the program. Hopefully the new coaches, along with the administration, parents and players get it together and get the program heading in the right direction. Good luck Newt.
