They have some high velocity arms. Putting Bowman, who is a pitch to contact guy in a one run game with a man on second on opening day was the kind of stupid stuff Matheny did last year. He has to show some growth and use his best pitchers at critical junctures even if they occur in the 5th inning. He needs to learn from other managers like NFL coaches learn from each other.

He just uses the guy so much. His arm is going to fall off. He missed a lot more bats in the first half of 2017 than in the second.

Yeah, Bowman isn't the guy with a guy on second. He's a low walk, low HR guy, not a guy you put in to deny singles.
