Coaches, If you are looking for a great teaching tool to aid in getting athletes to squat parallel, check out the PST!! The parallel squat trainer is a great tool for teaching proper squat techniques and letting the athlete know when they are parallel. Check them out at www.parallelstrength.com. If you are interested contact me at gjones@parallelstrength.com. I will also be at the St. Louis glazier clinic.

Coach -

Looks like a great tool. Enjoyed watching the video! How does the PST hook to different cages and squat racks? Keep up the great work!

Coach, email me your phone number at jonesg@ksdr1.net and I will send you some pictures of how they attach to your rack.

to the rack, have the kid get in the bottom of their squat, put the bungee across where it touches the butt, then when they reach the bottom of the squat and butt touches bungee then they know how deep they are

You must have the full or cage racks that the bar slides through? The PST's are created for the open racks or what is also know as 1/2 racks where the back is open. On the 1/2 racks there is nothing to attach a bungee to. The only advantage the PST would have for you is that the slots are numbered so the kids can adjust them easily for each lifter, also the lifter would not have to back to the end of the cage every time to touch the bungee.

Currently, we take the top section off of a hurdle and use the bottom section to secure the bungee strap to. We then slide that behind our squatter and adjust the strap so it gives them the proper depth. This has worked well in our open racks.

The biggest advantage I see with the PST is that it will take up a lot less storage space than the hurdle system we use at the present time.
