Hard to complain with the injuries this year. Although our resident whiner will do plenty of it.

Agree and I will be looking forward to next season. Love those Birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Piscotty Grich, Pham, Martinez it's hard to not like what you see. Now seeing what happens to Heyward etc..

Ole Dunce Cap really knows how to manage them playoffs. I can see a slide into 3rd place in 2016. KC #1 in Missouri.

The Royals haven't beaten those young, powerful Astros yet.................I think the day off benefited Houston but we will all find out tomorrow night! Very nervous about Cueto, incidentally.

Who was he going to throw out there ol'scrubbie? Cards didn't lose the last two because of their bats. The pitching was horrible and it had nothing to do with Matheny. The Cubs weren't exactly lights out with pitching either, was that your Managers fault?

Congrats, enjoy your moment. You've had to deal with a lot of Cardinal winning seasons. The Cubs are already crowned for the next 6 years. Should be fun.

So Dunce cap is only responsible for the winning but he isn't responsible for the losing? Interesting.

Ha ha. Dunce cap.

I'd say he gets too little credit for winning and too much for losing. But it's still up to the players to perform. The fact they were leaving balls high in the strike zone the other night had nothing to do with Matheny. As of right now Matheny has been one of the winning-est managers in baseball history through 4 seasons(currently has the highest w% in baseball). Anybody that would have projected them to win 100 games this year and a division that was historically good, would be lying.

Anyway, sweet jeep bro.

Totally goofy move. But Garcia going full on mental in game two was the killer for the series. That whole 2nd inning. Wow. They win that one, it's free and easy going to Wrigley.

You're right about that. Garcia has the stuff to keep the Cub hitters off balance. We needed him in that game badly. Whether the stomach problems were an actual illness or just big ole butterflies we'll never know. But it put a big dent in our chances.

I think we already know. Would definitely think Yadi would've known if there were an actual sickness. It would have to come up in one of his 326 mound visits.

Lol. I thought Yadi said he didn't know about it until right before game. Garcia said it'd been bothering him for a couple of days. But I'd think someone would have known about it before then. Hard to say. Man he's good when he's good. His deal is up this year. Club has option. Made a little over $9M this year. What do you do with him? It's hard to let a lefty go that started 20 games, had a 2.43 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. They have to keep him don't they?

If he was ill they should have called on Lyons again. He had been nasty his couple of outings and he wouldn't have had time to think about where he was, just go out and pitch. The offense was NOT the reason for ANY of the losses to the Cubs.
