I'll preface by saying I couldn't watch the game...school and all...checked Gameday often...but Mark Ellis struck out to end the game...pinch-hitting...for Matt Adams...in a one run game...WTF??? I could care less if Chapman was in. In what universe does Mark Ellis hit for Matt Adams in a one run game? Matheniging!!!
This team sucks on the road. Hard to figure them out, but they won't last long in the playoffs playing the way they do on the road. If they make the playoffs. We have to have a big homestand. The Pirates have the Cubs and the Pirate at home coming up so losing to the Reds may be the series we look back on and say darn that hurt!!!

Eagle I thought the same thing when he came up but they said Ellis was 3-5 off Chapman. I doubt if we have anyone else that could say that. I was screaming for a pinch runner for Holliday in case somebody got lucky. They also said only 8% of batter s have put the ball in play against Chapman this season. Al wanted Carp to swing at the ball in the dirt that got by the catcher for strike 3 so he could run to first.
He has hit well, that's not the same as playing well. He is God awful on the bases unless he or somebody else hits a ball in the gap so he can just take off and run. His decision to bunt last night with runners at 1st and 3rd was pretty bad too. I don't have any reason to dislike him other than he has NO baseball sense. I wish he would hit .300 all the time and run the bases like he has a brain because I want the Cardinals to win with whomever they out on the field. I should say I do dislike that little girly hop he does when he swings and misses.
I will. I've been a to a couple of P.B. softball games here and I'm going to Farmington Wednesday to watch MAC and 3R in a fall scrimmage game. I'll probably get out to the next home football game but they play the same time as the Cardinals and my recliner is pretty comfortable, especially when it 90 degrees at game time. Not so sure about volleyball, probably go up and watch the Park Hills kids play this month because they're pretty good at basketball too.
