Anybody want to give any predictions on how each of the divisions will play out. North Andrew looks to be favorite in the West with Worth County expected to be very good as well. Anybody want to give to predictions.

From what I know of the East, Trenton is still the team to beat, with Putnam County losing their 30ppg guard. South Harrison, Princeton, and Milan chasing, but I don't see a lot of those teams.

I also wouldn't sleep on Stanberry in the West. Word is Brad Hailey has improved his perimeter game and Coach Groomer will have his guard corps up and going after playing and working a lot in the offseason.

Will be interesting to see Woco back with Alarcon healthy and the addition of some other pieces.

North Andrew from everything I know, returns all their talent from last year, but some of their key pieces got knocked out of football season with injuries, so who knows.

The GRC East will be competitive but possibly down overall. In alphabetical order what each team has and their end of season record on Maxpreps last year-
Gallatin (10-15)- Returns first team all conference performer Jett Simmons, competed well at the end of the season last year, Brent Burke back in the saddle as head coach
Maysville- Went roughly 12-11 a year ago and returns quite a few players did lose a few. They play extremely hard for Coach Carter and look to be a difficult opponent night in and night out
Milan- lost their leading scorer of a 14-11 team but returns a talented now sophomore class and had a solid JV team that looks to contend in the west (preseason sleeper?)
Polo- James Fleener returns as one of the most dominant forces in the conference after a 9-16 campaign they return most of their team.
Princeton- Improved a lot as the year went on and will be riding on a lot of confidence from this year's football success. Blaine Milburn and Andrew Smith look to lead the basketball Tigers to near the top as well
Putnam County- lost arguablly best player in the conference from last year's team. Carson Quint returns as Putnam looks to be competitive after a 12-9 campaign a year ago
South Harrison-Returns a lot including Treyton Campbell from a roughly 7-11 team. Should be a contender this year for conference crown.
Trenton- Went 18-9 last year but lost all 3 double digit scorers. Lathan Croy and Conner Radcliffe will look to help Trenton repeat

I think you were pretty accurate Bearcat and YDKM .
The East.....could be a 4 team pack at the top...
S Harrison...brings back as much as anyone.
Polo has 3 quality scorers back....and Pickrell is in tune with his crew.
Trenton has some holes to fill but still potent.
Gallatin has a "go to scorer" who leads by example....I think YDKM likes to call him a "microwave player"?.....Old Dawg back on sideline.
.
I don't have a lot of knowledge about Princeton (good FB this year), Milan, Putnam, Maysville (well coached).
.
The West...umm.......is there any poster in NW MO that doesn't have NA at the top with WC right behind them?
I'd like to see a 2 on 2 contest at halftime of the girl's game with Schafer/Fletcher vs Morley/Weston.....basketball...not wing eating.

Mark Fletcher out of retirement.....the Silver Fox back on the sideline.
I can see him in his chuck taylors and polyester coaching shorts....ABA headband......hollering...."Give me a lap!!!" Love that guy....a winner in life.

GRC West watchers might expect to see Worth County vs. Stanberry (Part 1) in the Albany Tournament. Tigers and North Andrew have the same bio: a complete group heavy with seniors. Might be another year when the top teams tie themselves in a knot with wins and losses to each other.

GRC West is stacked at the top with North Andrew, Stanberry and Worth County and deep with Braymer, St. Joe Christian and King City all have good teams. It will be very strong and deep again this year.

I think the team that wins it among the top 3 will be the one that doesn't trip up against one of the next 3.

In the West, I think that Pattonsburg and St. Joe Christian are both going to be better than I originally thought. Friday's game between SJC and Worth County will be very good. I would like to go, but not sure I will be able to. I think Stanberry is not as good as expected and Braymer is way down.

For the East, Milan is very good. I think they are the class of the division. I expect them to play North Andrew for the title.
